Tax Relief on Fees
Only courses approved by the Revenue Commissioners qualify for tax relief. The Registrar submits a list of courses from which you can gain tax relief.
Each student is entitled to ONE duplicate tax receipt FREE OF CHARGE for the current academic year ONLY
To request a duplicate tax receipt please apply IN WRITING ONLY (to the Fees & Grants Office, NUI Maynooth, Maynooth, Co. Kildare) with the Student Number and the academic years from which you require receipts.
Please note that a search fee of € 25.00 (payable in advance and to be included with your written request) will be charged for duplicate receipts regardless of their requirements
Eligible courses include:
- Undergraduate courses (not 'free' fee courses), full-time or part-time, with a duration of at least two Academic Years. Tax relief may be claimed only where students are liable for full tuition fees.
- Postgraduate courses, full-time or part-time, with a duration of at least one Academic Year.
The Revenue Commissioners will grant tax relief to Registered students of these approved courses on production of a NUIM receipt of fees. To obtain a form, please click here, fill out the form with your relevant details and return to the Fees and Grants Office together with the relevant fee.
Alternatively you can contact a member of staff who will be happy to help you obtain your receipt.
