Maintenance Cheques

Any queries you have regarding the grant application process should be directed to your local authority.

 

Maintenance cheques are generally received in three instalments, usually mid October, January and April. the names of the Local Authorities from whom maintenance cheques have been received are posted daily on the Fees & Grants notice board. They are also updated daily on this web site .

Students are advised to check the Notice Boards on a regular basis.

Please note that you must have a current, VALID, NUI Maynooth Student Card in order to collect your cheque.  NO OTHER form of ID is acceptable.

When your Local Authority/VEC's name appears on the board, you may call to the Fees & Grants Office, bringing your CURRENT STUDENT I.D. CARD to collect your cheque. Maintenance cheques will not be released under any circumstances without production of this I.D. card.

It is the responsibility of each student to collect their maintenance cheques from the Office, failure to do so will result in the cheque being returned to the Local Authority which may result in the grant being discontinued.

Any queries in relation to delays or amounts should be addressed directly to the Local Authority in question.

Note : The Fees & Grants Office is involved only in the distribution of cheques all other queries regarding grants must be directed to your local authority.
